CMC Vellore offers various programmes at several levels such as UG, PG, PhD, etc. The programmes are offered across various fields including Medicine, Nursing, Medical, and others. MBBS is the flagship programme of CMC Vellore. MBBS is offered for a duration of five and a half years. The aforementioned duration also includes one year of compulsory internship. During the internship period, students are given practical training to become successful health practitioners. The internship period also includes ward posting. After the successful completion of the MBBS programme, students could either pursue higher education such as MD, MS, etc., or can start their practice. CMC Vellore offers internships at its attached hospital, i.e., CMC Hospital Vellore.
CMC Vellore also offers BSc and MSc courses. After completing the BSc Nursing course from the institute, students can become Home Care Nurses, Junior Psychiatric Nurses, Nursing Executives, and others. The organisations which recruit BSc Nursing students include The Indian Red Cross Society, Fortis Healthcare, Columbia Asia Hospital, and others. Important Dates
The mode of CMC Vellore course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on the scores of entrance exams. For admission to its MBBS programme, CMC Vellore accepts the NEET UG exam, while for admission to its PG programmes (MD, MS, MDS) the institute accepts the scores of NEET PG. CMC Vellore also accepts the scores of the INI SS exam for admission to its super speciality courses. Further, the institute conducts various entrance exams for its BSc and MSc courses including TANCET Exam.

Commonly asked questions On Cutoffs
CMC Vellore offers admission to the MBBS course on the basis of Tamil Nadu NEET exam. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the Home State quota. Among the General HS category, the last round cutoff was closed at 84. Therefore, among the General HS category candidate, getting admission to the college at 90 rank is impossible. For candidates belonging to the OBC HS category, getting admission to the college at 90 rank is not possible, as the last round closing rank for the same was 35.
CMS Vellore admissions are conducted for the students based on cutoff declared by the institute. The institute accepts NEET UG scores for admission to the MBBS course every year. The NEET UG 2024 exam will be conducted on May 5, 2024. Also, the university accepts NEET PG scores for admission to MD/ MS/ PG Diploma courses. NEET PG 2024 will be held most likely on Mar 3, 2024.

How to Reach Christian Medical College?
Students seeking to come to the CMC Vellore Campus can arrive at the Chennai International Airport and take a drive of around 2 hours 30 minutes to reach the college campus. Also, students can choose to travel by train and come to the Katpadi Junction Station. From there, they can take a short drive of around 15-20 minutes to reach the campus of CMC Vellore.
