All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS Delhi offers various programmes at several levels, such as UG, PG, PhD, etc. The programmes are offered across various fields, including Medicine, Nursing, Medical, and others. MBBS is the flagship programme of AIIMS Delhi. MBBS is offered for a duration of five and a half years.
The aforementioned duration also includes one year of compulsory internship. During the internship period, students are given practical training to become successful health practitioners. The internship period also includes ward posting. After the successful completion of the MBBS programme, students could either pursue higher education such as MD, MS, etc. or start their practice. All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi offers internships at its attached hospital, i.e., AIIMS Hospital New Delhi.
AIIMS Delhi also offers BSc and MSc courses. After completing the BSc Nursing course from the institute, students can become Home Care Nurses, Junior Psychiatric Nurses, Nursing Executives, and others. The organisations which recruit BSc Nursing students include The Indian Red Cross Society, Fortis Healthcare, Columbia Asia Hospital, and others. BSc Nursing students are taught the core values involving Empathy, Human Dignity, Professionalism, Integrity, Autonomy, and others. These values are very important while taking care of the patients. Overall with a degree in Medical Sciences, students can become Academic Researchers, Clinical Research Associates, and others.
Important Dates
The mode of All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS Delhi course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on the scores of entrance exams. For admission to its MBBS programme, All India Medical Institute Delhi accepts the NEET UG exam, while for admission to its PG programmes (MD, MS, MDS), the institute accepts the scores of INICET. AIIMS Delhi admissions also accept the scores of the INI SS exam for admission to its super speciality courses.
Further, the institute conducts various entrance exams for its BSc and MSc courses, including AIIMS Nursing Exam and AIIMS Paramedical Exam. Candidates also have to appear for the counselling process after taking the entrance exams. For MBBS, AIIMS University Delhi grants admissions through the MCC NEET Counselling. The final seats are allotted to candidates based on merit, preference, and availability. The shortlisted candidates must report to the allotted college for document verification and fee submission. AIIMS Delhi Cutoff 2025
As per the recent NEET UG MBBS cutoff 2025, the Round 1 closed off on rank 48 for General AI quota students. Whereas, the NEET UG Round 1 cutoff for the General AI quota students for the year 2024 closed off at 47. The same category cutoff closed off at 57 in the year 2023.
As per the recent Paramedical cutoff 2025, Round 2 for General AI quota candidates for BSc specialisations closed off between the ranks 9 and 293. Specialisations of BSc such as Bachelor of Medical Radiology and Imagine Technology (MRIT) and Operation Theatre Technology received the highest level of competition with rank 9 and 39. Commonly asked questions On Cutoffs
NEET UG Round 1 cutoff has been released for the AIIMS Delhi MBBS course. The Opening and Closing ranks depend on the category and quota of candidates. As per the AIIMS Delhi cutoff 2024, the NEET UG Round 1 opening rank was 1 and the closing rank was 47 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of home state. Admission to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at AIIMS Delhi is based on the scores obtained in the NEET UG entrance exam, followed by the NEET UG counselling process.
AIIMS Delhi paramedical cutoff 2024 was concluded for a few UG courses. These courses include B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology, B.Sc. in Dental Operating Room Assistant, Bachelor of Optometry (BOPTM) and Bachelor of Medical Radiology and Imagine Technology (MRIT). The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India quota. Among the General AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks were closed at a range of 132 and 856. For the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks were between 150 and 1108. For the EWS AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks were between 62 and 1158. The last round closing rank for AIIMS Delhi for BSc/MSc in nursing was between 2 and 280 for the General AI category candidates. The lowest cutoff rank was for M.Sc. in Nursing (Critical Care Nursing) and the highest one was for B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the last round closing ranks were between 13 and 1697. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the most competitive specialisation was M.Sc. in Nursing (Critical Care Nursing).

AIIMS Delhi has an active placement and training cell. The institute has not released their official placement data but according to the NIRF 2025 report which documented placements during 2024, the median package offered during PG 1-year and PG 3-year placements stood at INR 20 LPA and INR 17 LPA, respectively. While, for UG 3-year and UG 4-year it was INR 12.50 LPA and INR 16 LPA, respectively. Also, the median package for PG 3-year and PG 6-year students stood at INR 34 LPA. Infrastructure
AIIMS Delhi is known for its architectural marvels and has its AIIMS Engineering Services Department (ESD) with a team of core engineers. All India Medical Delhi has a big library with a wide collection of books and journals. The research students can gather various pieces of information from the library records. The library provides remote access to digital resources. The institute also has a big canteen, conference halls, modern classrooms, and provides various other facilities to students and teachers. Delhi Institute of Medical Sciences has AIIMS Hospital New Delhi residing alongside the Institute within the same premises. AIIMS Delhi also manages a 60-bed hospital in Ballabgarh in Haryana, at the Comprehensive Rural Health Centre. The institute also offers hostel accommodation to students.
