The mode NIT Trichy course admissions are online and offline. Admission to various courses is based on entrance exam scores and merit. Trichy NIT admission is primarily entrance-based. The selection for admission to various courses is based on national-level entrance exams, such as JEE Main, GATE, etc. Final seat allocation is done through counselling sessions such as CCMT and CCMN. To apply for admission, candidates must first visit the official website of the accepted entrance exam. Register for the entrance exam. Appear for the entrance exam and the counselling round. Commonly asked questions On Cutoffs
For 2022, cut off was 80 for General category candidates in CAT percentile Cutoff (General-All India). The cutoff for the past two years 2021 and 2020 remained same, i.e., 80.
The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT Trichy - National Institute of Technology other than General category are - 6680 for OBC, 15514 for SC, 205 for ST, 614 for EWS and 75 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
